Marker Post Search Guide
There are many ways to use the map search fields. I will go into detail on how to get the most out of the Marker Post Map. The simplest search would be selecting the country and adding in the full marker post number to get that specific marker post. You can filter those results by adding in the road name too.
For Example:Country: England
Marker Post: 134/6B
Road: M62
All letters added into the search field are not case sensitive so you can do upper class or lower class it doesnt affect the results returned. For those of you who are new to working with marker posts, you can split the marker post number into 3 main parts. You have the base number in this case its '134' then the sub number is '6' and the track letter is 'B'.
The track letters are usually A or B but there are other letters too J,K,L and M are common on slip roads throughout the UK. You can actually search for any of those letters straight away without any filters. Searching for this would give you a marker post around JC 33 on the M62 in area. Clicking on it will open a pop up for more information. But did you know there's other ways we can search
Seeing more on the road
This method works to get a good view of the road without hitting the max limit for returning marker posts to the map. If you search for '/1A' and use 'm25' in this example, you will see that it returns all of the marker posts along the m25 that end with '/1A'. Any sub number '/5B' would also work. It's important to use either A or B letters because this will reduce the marker posts by half, keeping your search within the limit.
I would stay away from using the sliproad letters because you can likely find all of them without hitting the max limit by just searching for J,K,L or M in the marker post number field without using the road name search box.
